My sleep cycle is terrible lately. Truly terrible. I have a sleep tracking app on my phone which I can use to tell me just how ridiculously awful my sleep habits are. It’s very useful. I’ve been using this tracking app since August. For the majority of that time I have been getting too much…
We fostered kittens for a few months a little over a year ago. It was a wonderful experience and something I would definitely like to do again sometime. I’ll admit that the hardest part was saying goodbye to the little monsters, but it was definitely a worthwhile experience.
It’s kind of funny how we make assumptions with regards to price. Pretty much since we started Elvis on his diet I figured that his special food must be costing us more than Lola’s run-of-the-mill stuff. After all, Elvis’s food comes in at about 36€ a bag, whilst Lola’s is just 7€ for two boxes.…
Names: Sisu & Siiri Type: Cat Colour: Sisu – Grey with white, Siiri – White with grey and ginger tabby bits Age at arrival: 10 weeks Age at departure: 15 weeks
As I write this, we are kitten-less. It seems odd to go back to having just our two cats – the fat one and the noisy one! Sisu and Siiri left for their new home on Thursday morning, so are presumably all settled in by now. The week leading up to their departure was a…
It looks like this Foster Diaries series will be coming to a close sooner than I expected. Only a few days after Ilona went to her new home her companions Sisu and Siiri have been reserved for adoption! S received a phone call on Sunday asking about the kittens. Apparently the caller had seen a…
When I post next week’s Foster Diary I will have to change the name. It can’t be ‘Ilona & Friends’ anymore, because Ilona is no longer here. She has moved on to her brand new home. It’s somehow simultaneously wonderful and terrible. Okay, okay. It’s a good thing. Yes it is weird not having her…
I bring terrible wonderful news! Ilona has been reserved for adoption. Isn’t it horrible great? You might be able to tell that I have mixed feelings about this… Ilona is the first kitten we ever fostered. We’ve had her with us for nearly two months, and she’s developed from a tiny hissing little ball of…
I’m going to try and keep this short because I’m exhausted after today’s writing Marathon (I’ll tell more about it tomorrow, but suffice to say that I wrote a little over 10,000 words today…) Still nothing from any potential adopters. We’re going to have to try and work out logistics for whilst we’re away. We’re…
Ilona has been with us for about a month now. When we decided to foster her we were told that she would most likely be on to her forever-home by now. At the moment though it looks like we’ll be having her for a while longer. I admit I don’t really mind; I’m getting rather…
