Today is a special day. It’s Elvis’s 12th birthday. It’s also Sampson’s 8th birthday, and the 2 year anniversary of us moving him to live with us. Doesn’t time fly?!
It’s getting beautifully springlike here in Finland. Or at least in our part of it. The last few days have been lovely. Warm and sunny. Flowers are starting to grow. The grass is turning greener. And buds are appearing here, there and everywhere.

What is up with this weather?!
As the weather improves we’ve had more opportunity to leave our balcony door open. All three of the cats appreciate being able to go on the balcony, but Lola likes it most of all. She will quite happily go and sit out there for as long as we let her. Whether she’s sunbathing, listening to…
Look at all that nature. The trees, the rocks, the grass and sunlight. You can ignore the building in the background… Just pretend it’s another tree or something… Darn man made structures interfering with my nature!
Today I discovered that, at the back of one of the play parks we frequent, there is what appears to be some kind of sacrificial altar. I am not sure why we need a sacrificial altar, but we have one nonetheless.
