Thought-Of-The-Day: November 4th

Easiest first day back at work ever!

.Today I went back to work after my sick leave. I knew it was going to be an easy day because one of the boys had a free day, so I’d only have Thing 2 to look after. Then last night I was told I could have a half day and still count it as a full day, which was good to hear as it would help me ease back in even better.

Well, when I arrived this morning it was to discover that Thing 2 has come down with (presumably) the same illness Thing 1 and I had, so his mum would stay home with him today. Which meant I wasn’t needed!

I was “at work” for less than five minutes. I got home less than an hour after I’d left. Husband and I decided to take advantage of the free day and went to the cinema before having a late lunch out. We decided it was my birthday meal, seeing as I missed celebrating my birthday whilst I was ill. It was a very nice day indeed.
