Thought-Of-The-Day: February 4th 2018

I think I might be getting back into the swing of things!

I’ve been in a bit of a rut the last few weeks. I haven’t wanted to work on my blogs. I haven’t wanted to make cards. I haven’t been working on my videos (although that’s partly due to technical difficulties…) It’s been frustrating, and it’s been causing me anxiety. Actually it got to be a bit of a nasty cycle. Not doing things made me anxious, and being anxious made me not do things.

But this weekend I finally managed to be productive. I think I may have got myself out of the rut. I managed to finish up a video and get it uploaded as well as having a second almost ready to go. I prepared blog posts and promotion (on Facebook and Instagram) for several days worth of cards. The amount of work varied for that. I made a couple of cards, but some were already done. Some of the photographs were already done, but others weren’t. None of the blog posts were done, so I had to draft all of those, schedule them, then schedule the appropriate social media posts for them all.

I also worked on the recording for an upcoming 10 card 1 kit video. I have 8 of the 10 cards done and hopefully will be able to get the other two recorded tomorrow morning before I leave to work, as I have a later start.

That’s not to say I’m on track with everything. I still need to sort a voice over for the video I edited, plus edit another video that has been waiting. Both of those are already past their deadlines due to the aforementioned technical difficulties. I haven’t worked with my January Simon Says Stamp card kit at all, and it’s already February. (Let’s not even talk about the Stamptember card kit – that arrived back in October!) I have a couple more cards made that are waiting to be blogged, plus two upcoming cards that ought to have been made already.

Still, it’s progress. And I think I’m doing a good job of getting back on track.

Love,

Lady Joyful
