Birds can be such posers. They don’t like to admit it though, which is why they fly away as soon as they realise they’ve been spotted at it. Hence the graininess of this picture – I had to use my zoom to try to get the photo before the bird realised I was there and flew away.
Such a task is particularly troublesome with toddlers present. They’re not the best at being quiet and stealthy. Particularly when they see something interesting and want to loudly tell you that they saw it, complete with lots of pointing and possibly other wild body movements. Interesting things like buses, cars, aeroplanes, birds, leaves… Anything, really.
