What kind of person leaves bits of firework in a children’s play area?
Presumably the kind of person who decides that’s a good place to set fireworks off… I think my point stands though. Seems pretty irresponsible!
At first I didn’t even realise that’s what it was. Thing 2 came over with a piece of rubbish which I took from him and put it in the bin. I couldn’t work out what it was. Then a moment later he came back with some cardboard tubing, which still had the word firework legible on it. About the same time Thing 1 found a stick, which I realised was also from the firework.
That was when I decided to walk around the park area and gather up any other pieces of firework based rubbish. There wasn’t a lot, but still more than I would have liked. (I would have liked none…) I found a second stick and black plastic thing which I think was the ‘nose’ of the firework, which suggests there were at least two.
Okay, they were used fireworks so there presumably wasn’t anything dangerous about them (aside from the normal risks associated with the long pokey sticks). Even so. Don’t leave bits of fireworks in children’s play areas. Actually don’t leave any rubbish in children’s play areas. Or anywhere, for that matter.
