Photo-A-Day: January 21st 2017

January 21st 2017We were in town today, looking for some items for a crafty project. We browsed a bit, as you do when shopping. As we do, at least. Whilst browsing husband spotted these scissors. He grinned at me and said“Fiskars? More like Fishskars!”

Isn’t he a silly thing?

Those scissors are pretty cute though!

    • Ah, crocodile ones sound kinda awesome! I have a bunch (well, four…) of different kiddy crinkle cut scissors that I bought to use with the girls at my previous job. Waste of money – they chew paper rather than cutting it…

        • Actually now that I think about it the scissors I have are the ones with plastic blades so no wonder they’re useless πŸ˜› But yes, being able to poke and prod and try things is definitely a good thing! Ooh, what’s the invisible thread for? πŸ™‚ I have some, but that doesn’t help you much πŸ˜›

          • Lol…not really πŸ™‚ initially I wanted some for threading these little Christmas beads for decorations on the tree, but I’m making these little suncatchers at the moment, which would look quite pretty with a crystal suspended in the middle. It kind of works with a matching colour of embroidery thread, but I feel invisible thread would give it a kind of floaty look…

            • Oh, that sounds lovely! Yes invisible thread would definitely enhance the floatiness. I actually got mine I’m a craft pack from Lidl πŸ˜› But no doubt craft and sewing related shops ought to have some.

              • Ah right. My son’s college is right near a Lidl..I’ll have to send him in at lunchtime to have a look, thank you. They’re just tiny suncatchers, made from pipecleaners, but they lend themselves quite nicely to bead-y and crystal-y ornamentation…all our craft shops seem to have shut down in the town centre, I think they’ve all migrated to this out-of-town retail park…
