Isn’t it a bit mean to put the sand pit toys out when the sand is frozen solid?
I mean really, why bother? All you’re doing is tormenting the children. “Look, you could be having fun with these brightly coloured buckets and spades, but you’d have more luck trying to scrape of bits of concrete with your fingernails to make a castle.”
I’m not exaggerating when I say it was frozen solid. I tried to free up some of the sand for the boys to play with, but it was just impossible. I guess it is good that it has snowed since, because if we go to the same park and the sand pit toys are out the boys can at least dig in the snow.
