Words have shapes.
I started talking about this over on the photo-a-day post for today. I probably shouldn’t have talked about it there because now I’m not really sure what else to say about it here…
As I mentioned over there, I wonder if that is a form of synaesthesia. Synaesthesia has always fascinated me, right from when I first heard of it. Which, if I remember correctly, was in a book called Mondays Are Red.
Seeing as it was a work of fiction, it’s perhaps understandable that its depiction was a bit exaggerated. But the idea of words having colours and colours have flavours… It is really interesting to me. Those kinds of unusual associations.
It was only today that I realised the way I feel shapes of words could be a similar thing. If it is, that makes me happy!
Um… that’s it. Done. Thanks. Bye!
